Annual General Meeting 2019
The Annual General Meeting (AGM) took place on the 8th of September 2019. It is held every year to delegate the responsibilities of effectively managing the society to the incoming management committee. It is also a platform to celebrate the achievements of the outgoing committee - 9th Committee, which has successfully handled many initiatives proactively. The 9th Executive Committee also gave a warm welcome to the newly elected 10th Executive Committee and wished them to achieve even more success. Awards were also given to honour the hard work and efforts of the outgoing committee.
As we are stepping into the tenth year of the Society, we rejuvenated our NTU TLS logo with specially chosen colours that represent the vibrant colours of ‘Deepam’. Furthermore, we decorated the whole venue with those vibrant colours and our guests added icing on the cake by arriving in lively and exotic yellow, red and orange traditional outfits.
MAHAKAVI BHARATHIYAAR AWARD
Mahakavi Bharatiyaar was an all-rounder, a great influence to all modern-day writers and poets. His contribution to the Tamil language is unparalleled. This prestigious award is given to an individual who has worked very hard to uplift NTU TLS to greater heights. As such, this award was given to AR Subbu Adaikalavan. Subbu was the Business Manager of the 7th Committee and the Chief Editor of the 8th Committee before assuming his role as the President of the 9th Committee. Subbu has served NTU TLS tirelessly and led the committee with great dedication during his term as the President. We were honoured to present this prestigious award to Subbu who has made enormous efforts to bring in new collaborations and initiating new events for the Society.
THIRUVALLUVAR AWARD
Through his proverbs (Thirukkural), Thiruvalluvar spread his words of wisdom which are still of relevance today. This Thiruvalluvar award is presented to someone who has not only improved their proficiency in Tamil, but also made efforts to contribute to the language beyond their scope of duties.

WINGS CULTURAL AWARD
The Cultural Award is presented to individuals who excel in the different wings of NTU TLS. They have been exemplary role models to other members and have also carried out their duties with much enthusiasm.

At the end of the event, the 9th, as well as the 10th committee members roared NTU TLS’ most worshiped tagline ‘Aathi undu andham illai, Tamizhan moochu irukkum varai’ and following that, the 9th committee gave way to the 10th committee to embark their meaningful NTU TLS journey forward and onward.
NTU தமிழ் இலக்கிய மன்றத்தின் வருடாந்திர பொதுக் கூட்டம் செப்டம்பர் 8 2019 அன்று நடைபெற்றது. மாற்றம் ஒன்றே மாறாதது. அதற்கேற்ப, ஒவ்வொரு ஆண்டும் சீர்தர தங்கள் பொறுப்புகளை ஆற்றி, மன்றத்தை திறம்பட நிர்வகிக்கும் கடமையை அடுத்த செயற்குழுவிற்கு ஒப்படைக்க ஆண்டுதோறும் இந்த பொதுக்கூட்டம் நடைபெறுகிறது. முன்னோக்க பார்வையுடன் பல முயற்சிகளை வெற்றிகரமாக கையாண்ட ஒன்பதாவது செயற்குழுவின் சாதனைகளைக் கொண்டாடுவதற்கான ஒரு மேடையாகவும் இந்நாள் அமைந்தது. புதிதாக பதவியேற்கும் செயற்குழுவிற்கு ஒன்பதாவது செயற்குழு மென்மேலும் பல வெற்றிகளை அடைய தங்கள் வாழ்த்துக்களைப் பதிவு செய்து, உரத்த கரவொலியுடன் பத்தாவது செயற்குழுவை வரவேற்றனர். மேலும், வெளிச்செல்லும் செயற்குழுவின் கடின உழைப்பையும் முயற்சிகளையும் கௌரவிக்கும் வகையில் விருதுகள் வழங்கப்பட்டன.
அதோடு, NTU தமிழ் இலக்கிய மன்றத்தின் பத்தாவது ஆண்டை கொண்டாடும் வகையில், தீபத்தின் துடிப்பான வண்ணங்களை தீட்டி NTU TLS - இன் சின்னம் புது பொலிவுடன் வெளியிடப்பட்டது.
மகாகவி பாரதியார் விருது
‘தமிழன் என்று சொல்லடா - தலை நிமிர்ந்து நில்லடா!’ என்ற மேற்கோளை உலகமெங்கும் பிரபலமாக்கி தமிழுக்காக பாடுபட்டவர் மகாகவி பாரதியார். அதைப்போல எங்கள் மன்றத்தின் முன்னேற்றத்திற்காக அயரா பாடுபட்ட ஒருவருக்கு இந்த மதிக்கத்தக்க விருது வழங்கப்படுகிறது.
இந்த வருடம் அந்த உயர்தர விருது 9-ஆம் செயற்குழுவின் தலைவர், AR சுப்பு அடைக்கலவன் அவர்களுக்கு வழங்கப்பட்டது.
7-ஆம் செயற்குழுவில் வணிக நிர்வாகியாக தொடங்கி, 8-ஆம் செயற்குழுவில் தலைமை பதிப்பாசிரியராக முன்னேறி, 9-ஆம் செயற்குழுவில் தமிழ் இலக்கிய மன்றத்தின் தலைவராக பொறுப்பேற்று, தனது பொன்னான சேவையை இம்மன்றத்திற்க்காக ஆற்றி வந்தார். எனவே அவரை கௌரவித்து இச்சிறப்பான விருதை அவருக்கு வழங்கியதில் நாங்கள் பெருமைப்படுகிறோம்.
திருவள்ளுவர் விருது
‘முயற்சி திருவினையாக்கும்’ என்ற ஞான வார்த்தைகளை நமக்கு திருக்குறள் மூலம் புகட்டியது திருவள்ளுவர் என்றால் அது மிகையாகாது. அதற்கேற்ப தமிழில் அளவற்ற ஆர்வம் காட்டி, தனது தமிழ் புலமையை மேம்படுத்த அதிக முயற்சிகளை எடுத்துக்கொண்ட ஒருவரை அங்கீகரிக்கும் விருது இது. தமிழுக்காக அயரா உழைத்த விஜயழகன் அவர்களுக்கு இவ்விருதை வழங்கியதில் பெரும் பூரிப்பு அடைகிறோம்.

தமிழ் இலக்கிய மன்றத்தின் வெவ்வேறு கலை பிரிவுகள், அதாவது, இசைப்பிரிவு, நடனப்பிரிவு, எழுத்தாளர் பிரிவு, நாடகப்பிரிவு மற்றும் தொழில்நுட்பப் பிரிவு, ஆகிய பிரிவுகளில் உள்ள நபர்களுள் தங்கள் கலைத் திறன்களை அதிக ஆர்வத்துடன் பிரதிபலித்த கலை நட்சத்திரங்களுக்கு நட்சத்திர கலை விருதுகளை மகிழ்ச்சியாக வழங்கினோம்.
